Artist: Salvadore Dali
Profile: Born in Spain 1904, died 1989. In 1922 Salvador Dali entered the special school of painting, sculpture and engraving in Madrid, but was expelled from the School in 1926, for extravagant behaviour? He was quick to explore many trends, working his way through phases of Cubism, Futurism, Purism and the Metaphysical style of de Chirico. In the late 1920s he became a member of the Surrealist Movement. His unique style is shown in his paintings such as; Metamorphosis of Narcissus or Persistance of Memory.
