Profile: Beginning every painting with the eyes, Ron captures each animal’s unique personality because that is where he believes the soul is expressed. From apple green and fire engine red ears to tangerine or perhaps purple noses, Ron is no longer bound by his colour choices and feels he reflects the personality of each pet with his multitude of colours. By putting dogs and cats on furniture or in vehicles suggesting the animals have found homes he creates paintings that present animals as individuals who are beloved members of today’s modern family.
